The standout feature of this particular example is its silver “Doorstop” pie-pan dial. The dial uses unusually broad, tapered applied markers, particularly noticeable at 6 and 9 o’clock, giving the watch a more distinctive appearance than a standard baton-dial Datejust. The dial also carries period-style “T SWISS T” markings and shows warm aging across the luminous plots, adding attractive vintage character.

Serial number 2.00M places this example at approximately 1969. Vintage Rolex serial dating is approximate rather than factory-confirmed, but published collector charts place 1969 production around the 1.945M–2.24M range.
