The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Ref. 3590.50 is a highly desirable neo-vintage interpretation of Omega’s legendary manual-wind chronograph. Introduced around 1989 and produced until approximately 1996, this reference directly preceded the better-known Ref. 3570.50. It features the traditional 42mm stainless steel case, matte black dial, black tachymeter bezel, Hesalite crystal, solid caseback, and stainless steel Speedmaster bracelet.

The beauty of the 3590.50 is its balance of classic Moonwatch styling and genuine vintage character. Unlike most later examples, this reference was fitted with tritium hour markers and hands. Over time, the tritium may develop an attractive cream or yellow-toned patina, giving each example a distinctive appearance while preserving the familiar high-contrast Speedmaster layout.

The dial features the traditional three-register chronograph arrangement, including running seconds, a 30-minute counter, and a 12-hour counter. Its manually wound Omega Calibre 861 provides the mechanical experience associated with the classic Speedmaster Professional and offers an approximately 48-hour power reserve. Depending on the production year, the Calibre 861 may contain either 17 or 18 jewels.

With its tritium dial, Calibre 861 movement, and slimmer vintage-style character, the 3590.50 represents an appealing bridge between earlier vintage Speedmasters and the later modern Moonwatch. The included original warranty card adds further collector appeal and makes this a particularly attractive example of the reference.
