Omega Speedmaster Professional Pre-Moon | DON Bezel | Ref. ST 145.012

The Omega Speedmaster Professional Ref. ST 145.012 is one of the most historically significant vintage Speedmaster references. Introduced in 1967, it was the final Speedmaster Professional reference powered by Omega’s legendary column-wheel Calibre 321 before the introduction of the Calibre 861-powered Ref. 145.022. Housed in the familiar 42mm stainless steel Professional case, this example features a black chronograph dial, Hesalite crystal, black Dot Over Ninety tachymeter bezel, and stainless steel bracelet.

The beauty of the ST 145.012 is its position at the end of the original Calibre 321 era. The manually wound movement features a traditional column-wheel chronograph architecture and was used in the Speedmaster references closely associated with NASA’s Apollo program. The ST 145.012 was among the Speedmaster models selected for Apollo-era use, giving the reference a direct connection to one of the most important periods in space-exploration history.

This particular example is accompanied by an Omega Extract from the Archives documenting movement number 26,553,375 and confirming its original delivery to Guam. The Archive provides valuable factory provenance and gives this watch a particularly interesting history beyond its already significant Pre-Moon configuration.

The black dial retains the traditional three-register Speedmaster layout, including running seconds, a 30-minute chronograph counter, and a 12-hour chronograph counter. Its DON tachymeter bezel, vintage Hesalite crystal, and manually wound Calibre 321 movement give the watch the unmistakable character collectors associate with late-1960s Speedmaster Professionals.

Condition

Please review the photographs carefully for an accurate representation of the watch’s condition. Scratches, bracelet wear, bezel wear, Hesalite crystal wear, dial patina, hand discoloration, or other signs of use consistent with age may be present and do not affect functionality.

The hands display slight staining consistent with the watch’s vintage age. The stainless steel bracelet is fitted with approximately 20 links and presents in good overall condition.

The accompanying Omega Extract from the Archives confirms the watch as Ref. ST 145.012 with movement number 26,553,375 and delivery to Guam. The inner caseback is stamped 105.012-66, which is disclosed for complete transparency and should be reviewed together with the Archive Extract and detailed photographs.
