The Rolex Explorer II Ref. 16570 is a versatile neo-vintage Rolex Professional model, combining a classic 40mm stainless-steel Oyster case with a fixed 24-hour bezel, sapphire crystal, date display, and independent second-time-zone functionality. This circa-1999 example features the classic black dial with luminous applied markers, Mercedes-style hands, center seconds, and a contrasting red 24-hour hand. The fixed engraved bezel allows the additional hand to display a second time zone while distinguishing between day and night, giving the watch an understated tool-watch character.

Powering the watch is the Rolex Calibre 3185, an automatic GMT movement with 31 jewels and an independently adjustable local hour hand. The hour hand can be moved forward or backward in one-hour increments without stopping the movement or disturbing the minutes and seconds, making it useful for travel. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the Calibre 3185 provides approximately 48–50 hours of power reserve.
